The Island is easily accessed by a short boat ride from Phuket or mainland Krabi.
Koh Yao Noi and its sister Island Koh Yao Yai lie within an archipelago of some 40 mostly uninhabited islands and make up a district of Phang Nga Province.
Koh Yao Noi has a population of about 5,000 but is the smaller of the two Islands. However it is the most developed of the two providing convenience stores, schools, a new Hospital, good restaurants and great places to visit. A recently paved road about 20km long circles the Island making it easy for the visitor to spend hours or days exploring all that there is to offer.
This can be done by mountain bike, motor bike or trekking. You will see water buffaloes working and grazing in the rice paddies, monkeys collecting coconuts high up in the palm trees and beautiful beaches with some of the most breathtaking views to be found anywhere in the world. Tourism is growing slowly and most of the local inhabitants earn their living from the sea or from the many rubber tree plantations that can be found inland.
Even though this Island has everything that modern day travellers require, it is also akin to taking a step back in time. Life here is slow and a smile is always there to greet you. Everyone knows everyone on this Island paradise which in turn gives you the feeling of a very safe and secure environment in which to enjoy yourself.
We are sure that a vacation in one of our luxurious villas will provide you with an experience of a lifetime in one of the few unspoilt destinations to be found in the world.
